The 3rd edition of AMI’s Polymer Testing & Analysis Conference will take place at the Sofitel Berlin Kurfürstendamm, Berlin, Germany, United Kingdom .
AMI’s Polymer Testing & Analysis conference is now established as an important international meeting place for scientists, laboratory staff, researchers and R&D professionals who develop, test and analyse new polymer materials, formulations and products.
The latest testing and analysis techniques for determining such characteristics and properties are covered in depth at the conference by an international selection of speakers, including representatives from leading test organisations, academic institutions, equipment suppliers, plastics suppliers, and end-users.
The two-day programme will commence with a session on ‘Striving for quality – raising the bar for polymer testing.’ The presentation from Kunststoff-Institut Lüdenscheid in Germany opens the conference by discussing laboratory benchmarking. This is followed by presentations from Sikora and Spectro Analytical Instruments who will further discuss developments in the industry. The next session will cover ‘Evaluating the emissions of Polymer materials’ with presentations from Aimplas and Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV. The conference’s third session provides an opportunity for delegates to find out about ‘improving the processability of plastics’ from Dynisco Europe and the Institute for Polymer Technologies. We will close the day on session four ‘Analyising the effects of time on Polymeric materials’ and hear presentations from Intertek (Schweiz), Kiwa Technology and Unipetrol RPA – Polymer Institute.
To round off the day’s proceedings, a networking drinks reception will be held in the exhibition area, where delegates and speakers debate the conference so far and attendees have the opportunity to network with industry peers.
We will kick off day two by ‘Assessing polymers for packaging applications’ with speakers from ITS Testing Services, Fraunhofer Institute for Process Engineering and Packaging IVV and Aimplas. Presentations from Institut Für Kunststoffverarbeitung and Frontier Laboratories will make up session six which will be ‘exploring failure testing’ within the industry. The final session of the conference showcases the latest ‘advances in polymer testing for demanding applications’ with new research presented from the Technische Universität Kaiserslautern in Germany and Coppe / Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro in Brazil.
