He started working with a brief stint in Alternative Asset Management Investment Management, LLC in New York, where he analyzed investment strategies and made recommendations to Hedge Fund for investments.
He returned to India in 2009 with a vision to establish brand Calco PAN India and globally across different market verticals.

In first 3 years he focused on business development, sustainable and brand management of Calco Polychem. During his tenure, Calco collaborated with Ministry of Defense, for commercialization of Green Technology in Plastics, in assistance with FICCI.
For past 5 years, he is actively involved in managing Calco Poly Technik and is supplying Engineering Compounds to leading OEM’s and Tier-I of Suzuki, Renault, Bajaj, Honda, Havells, Phillips, Panasonic, Legrand.
Varun holds Bachelor Degree in Engineering from Indraprastha University, India. He completed his Masters degree from Columbia University, NY, USA.
